Her excitement was contagious. She envisioned her dream wedding to the man of her dreams.Wedding date: June 20, 2014.Inspiration: Romantic elegance was the inspiration for this wedding, with flowers as the focal point.Color palette: White, antique silver, mahogany.Guest count: 125.Most unique design element: The place card table was unique. We wanted to give it texture, so we created risers for the cards to sit upon. We then used multi-level vases, candles, and candelabras surrounded by rose petals at the base.Biggest challenge: This wedding included many moving parts, and the couple had very specific requests. We had to think a little outside of the box in order to meet these requests. For example, the bride loved the way her gown looked from above, so the photographer brought an eight-foot ladder along and shot several photos from the top. Also, there was a very elaborate after party that included a strolling table worn by a flapper girl. The table would not fit through any of the venue doors and had to be rolled in sideways. As a result, the flapper girl was stuck in that room for the duration of the party. Another challenge? The groom is the owner of a restaurant that is famous for its delicious wings. In order to have them available for the after party, we arranged for the groom to spend time with the venue chef and staff the week prior, so he could teach them how to prepare his signature dish.Learnings: Whenever possible, work with vendors that share your vision of making the day the best it can possibly be for the couple.
