Ramona Tauzin

After spending numerous years working in public accounting and teaching at the post-secondary level, I decided it was time to merge my passion for weddings and travel. My family used to ask me – now what are you doing? What they did not understand was that I was doing what they wanted me to do and be; not what I wanted to do and become.

In the past, I have worked in various public accounting firms preparing tax returns, auditing businesses, and performed monthly bookkeeping duties. As our family grew, I left the stress of public accounting and taught Accounting, General Business, and Interpersonal Skills in both the High School and Community College settings. Throughout my entire career in industry and education, I was always called up to either plan or assist in planning various events and weddings.

In 2006, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and launch Red Carpet Destinations, a boutique destination wedding and travel company. I have coordinated, planned, and assisted in many local weddings and events. Planned and coordinated weddings in Mexico, the Caribbean, and USA—outside of hometown of Baton Rouge, LA. I am best known for being the 9-1-1 of Destination Wedding Planners—I can take the chaos out of planning a destination wedding and bring harmony to the entire process.

Most importantly, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 47 years, I’m the mother of three amazing children, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and have 4 of the most precious grandchildren.
