They wanted a wedding that was fun for their guests, one they would remember always, and one that deviated from the norm. The wedding had to reflect their love of Elvis and the 1980s. They didn’t want ordinary. Ted and Brittany are an absolutely fun-loving couple and were a delight to work with on their wedding.Fabio_And_Adri_Photography-012Wedding date: April 2.Inspiration: Since Ted and Brittany are huge fans of Elvis, the 1980s, and Don Johnson, we had to come up with a design that gave a nod to the 1980s but was not a literal interpretation. To pull it off, Ted’s attire was styled after Don Johnson. We also held the wedding in a location no one would imagine. The guests had no idea where they were going. Transportation took them to the ceremony in the Neon Boneyard Park in Las Vegas, where old signs go after hotels are razed. Visually, it was beyond amazing. The chairs were even custom made so they doubled as favors for the guests to take home.Fabio_And_Adri_Photography-021Color palette: Apple green, turquoise, and silver.Guest count: 55.Most unique design element: We wanted to do an upside-down wedding cake, so we had the bakery hire an engineer to construct a cake stand that would hold this unusual configuration, without it toppling. It was quite the engineering feat. Fabio_And_Adri_Photography-025Biggest challenge: The guests did not know where the wedding or reception was going to be held. The invitations merely asked guests to come to Las Vegas on the wedding date and be in front of their respective hotels to be ready for pick up by limo bus. The buses took the guests to the Neon Boneyard Park for the ceremony. The guests were beyond thrilled and loved the location. After the ceremony, they were picked up and driven to the Stratosphere for the reception on the 104th floor where there was an amazing view of the Las Vegas strip at night. The biggest challenge was keeping the wedding and reception location a secret. The only people who knew were the wedding planners and the couple. The guests loved the surprise and, at the end of the night, chanted, “Let’s do this every year!”Fabio_And_Adri_Photography-003Details: The “save the date” was a scratch-off postcard with basic information about the guests having to go to Las Vegas for the wedding. Guests used custom-made poker chips from the small envelope on the card to do the scratch off. We used the same poker chip on the custom invitation as the embellishment on the front of the invitation. Also, we had bungee cord jumpers randomly diving in front of the windows of the 104th floor room. It was just icing on the cake, and it was so Ted and Brittany! ••Fabio_And_Adri_Photography-027
